Apple Announces Native Apps for Apple Watch in WatchOS 2

Apple had a busy day at WWDC today. They announcedMac OS X El CapitaniOS 9, and they’re open sourcing Swift 2.0 and releasing it for iOS, Mac OS, and Linux.

Now, they’re announcing WatchOS 2. This is going to bring native apps, along with a number of new features. They’re bringing new watch faces, including the ability to use a photo as a watch face, or even time lapse images.

Developers will now be able to create their owncomplications. Complications allows developers to put more information on the watch face. You can even rotate the digital crown to see future data from the complication. They call that feature time travel.

There’s also a nightstand mode, which allows you to see the time while it’s charging.

You will now be able to reply to email, as well as sending drawings in multiple colors, use FaceTime audio, and have multiple groups of friends.
