Here’s how to activate Photos face detection even if it isn’t available in your region

The new Photos app by Google includes facedetection for your uploaded photos, but it isn’t enabled for everyone. However, with this simple tweak you can enable face detection no matter what region you’re in.

You’ll need a USA VPN to do this.

Go into your app manager and clear the data of thePhotos app. Then fire up the VPN and connect. Go into the settings of the Photos app and enable facedetection. You can then go ahead and disconnect the VPN, and just to be safe clear the data of thePhotos app once more.

You can then connect normally to your network through WiFi or over your Cellular connection and go ahead and set up the face detection as normal. The feature will stay setup once active so you need to do this only once.

Let us know how you got on in the comments section below.
